Terms of Service

01 · Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Halow is not intended for minors. Once these terms are finalized, the app must present them and the privacy information appropriately before acceptance; merely reading this draft does not create an account or give consent to data sharing.

Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure and do not share or sell your account. Use support to report suspected unauthorized access. The initial release is not offered in mainland China's App Store; availability elsewhere remains subject to applicable local requirements.

02 · A fictional world, not a real person

Halow lets you create fantasy worlds and characters and speak with AI-generated portrayals. These are fictional characters, not human correspondents. AI may make mistakes, invent facts, repeat itself or produce unsuitable content despite safeguards.

AI replies are for creative entertainment, not medical, mental-health, legal, financial or other professional advice. The app is not an emergency or crisis service and cannot monitor your safety. If immediate help is needed, contact local emergency services or a qualified person.

03 · Free initial release

The initial release is free, has no advertising and has no subscription or automatic renewal. Reasonable usage limits may apply to AI requests. A free launch does not promise unlimited use or permanent free access to every future feature.

If paid features are introduced, their price and terms will be disclosed before purchase. No payment permission is created by this draft.

04 · Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully and respect other people's safety, privacy and rights. Do not:

• Request or distribute sexual exploitation material, sexual content involving minors, pornography, threats, targeted harassment, hate or instructions that facilitate harm or crime.
• Upload private information about others without authority, impersonate a real person deceptively, or use content you lack the necessary rights to provide.
• Steal credentials, attack the service, bypass security or usage limits, or automate abusive requests.
• Present an AI character as a real human, a verified source of facts, or a qualified professional.

The 18+ eligibility rule is not permission for prohibited adult content. Unsafe outputs can be reported through the support route once the contact channel is operational. Safeguards are not infallible.

05 · Your content and AI output

You retain the rights you already hold in your original inputs. You give the operator a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, transmit and process those inputs, including through necessary service providers, solely to provide the requested service, address abuse and comply with applicable obligations. This is not a blanket transfer of ownership or permission to publish private chats or train an unrelated model.

AI output may resemble output provided to others, may be inaccurate and may not qualify for copyright protection. These terms do not guarantee exclusive ownership, originality or non-infringement. Review output before relying on it or sharing it, and obtain any rights necessary for your intended use.

Halow's branding, application code and supplied artwork remain subject to their respective owners' rights. Use of the app does not transfer those rights.

06 · Privacy and third-party AI

The Privacy Policy explains account data, stored conversations and third-party processing. AI features send relevant input and context through our server to third-party AI services via API. The app requests separate data-sharing permission before first use, which can be withdrawn in the account page. Accepting general terms does not replace that grant.

Do not submit secrets or sensitive personal data. Rights, retention and the effect of withdrawal must be finalized before release; see the marked fields in the Privacy Policy.

07 · Availability, suspension and leaving

Network failures, maintenance and AI-provider limits may interrupt service. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, unlawful conduct, material breaches or legal obligations. Where appropriate, a reason and a way to challenge an action should be provided through support; advance notice may not be possible for urgent safety issues.

You may stop using Halow. Signing out or uninstalling does not erase server records. Submit a request under Account → Delete account. Confirmation disables sign-in immediately; after 30 days, background cleanup erases your account, characters and chats from the production database. This is irreversible, and retries do not extend the deadline. See the Privacy Policy for device-local worlds, backups and third-party data.

08 · Responsibilities and consumer rights

We do not promise uninterrupted access or perfectly accurate AI responses. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, removes mandatory consumer rights, or treats the free price as eliminating those rights. Any additional limitation of liability would require a separate review for the release territories; none is invented in this draft.

09 · Governing law and updates

These service terms are intended to be governed by Singapore law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts required by the laws that apply to them. They do not impose mandatory arbitration or a waiver of collective remedies.

Material changes should be communicated before taking effect and require renewed agreement where applicable. A policy update cannot retroactively authorize a new data use. The final acceptance and notice process must be verified before release.

For an App Store download, Apple's standard end-user license agreement applies unless a valid custom EULA is supplied. These draft online-service terms do not replace Apple's terms or represent Apple as the operator.

The operator details, final policies and supporting app controls must be completed and reviewed before publication. The English and Chinese drafts describe the same intended service; neither translation removes protections granted by applicable law.
